We develop the full bioprinting process, producing competitive and attractive products.

DEVELOPMENT

DEVELOPMENT

We customize our developments for tissue engineering, ensuring high fidelity, resolution, software control, and tunable properties.

Bioprinting Applications

  • Bioprinting for Tissue Transplantation
    • Bioprinted tissues such as nerve, cardiac, blood vessels, and skin have been transplanted into animals for functionality studies.
    • Human trials have not been conducted.
    • Challenges include replicating vasculature and metabolic states of organs.
  • Organ-on-a-Chip Bioprinting
    • Organ-on-a-chip models replicate the structural, microenvironmental, and physiological functions of human organs.
    • Functional tissue structures are printed directly on microfluidic chips using computerized bioprinting programs.
  • Bioprinting in Cancer Research
    • Two-dimensional tumor models lack physiologically relevant interactions.
    • Bioprinting provides three-dimensional models to study cellular interactions, cancer pathogenesis, and metastasis.
  • Pharmaceutical and High Throughput Screening
    • Drug discovery involves testing many candidate molecules, requiring significant investment.
    • 3D bioprinted tissue models closely mimic native tissue and can be produced in high-throughput for drug efficacy testing.

Our History

We are a 3D biofabrication company that was born from the merger of 3Dbiolux with the Itelsis Group to produce pioneering 3D bioprinted tissues and organs that mimic key aspects of human biology and disease. We grew up with the challenging task of recreating functional organs with the required connection to the vascular network of arteries, veins, and capillaries; incorporation of various cell types to form complex tissue architecture; mechanical and structural integrity.

3Dbiolux develops customized light-based bioprinting technologies for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. 3Dbiolux has developed novel 3D bioprinting systems for worldwide applications.

Itelsis is a Business Group that focuses its activity on designing and manufacturing its own innovative products, providing professional services, and developing and implementing eTIC solutions for other emerging sectors where new technologies are basic and essential for growth.
